Writing is a Lonely Road to Travel
The Lonely Road
The road to becoming a published writer can be a lonely road to tread. It is full of many trials and pitfalls. It can try the spirit and make you wonder why you dared to even set a foot upon that road to begin with. Then in the creation of your writings you realize why. It's because its in your heart and soul. It courses through your veins. Your muses want their voices to be heard. So you keep striding down that road, knowing someday that dream, desire and yearning will become a reality. That you will pass from the realm of just being a writer and transcend into the hierarchy of published authors.
This is my journey. I dared set foot on this road and now must see it to what ever end it has in store for me. On these pages I will record some of my personal trials and hopefully my triumphs as well. I will also put samples of my writings and novels on here as well. To give what I hope will be my future audience a taste of the stories I plan on writing. So I hope you join me on this journey to help keep me company while I travel down this lonely road.

The Hopeful Writer
I have been an avid reader since I picked up The Black Stallion from my local library. I devoured all the books written by Walter Farley, then proceeded to read every animal-based story I could get my little hands on. When I was twelve, my mother bought me My Friend Flicka. It was in a bin of books at a small local drug store - and only a dollar! I'll never forget the end of that novel, because I cried all the way through the last few chapters. When my sister saw me in tears, she said, "Maybe you should put the book down for a while." Through my sobs, I replied, "I can't!" I still have the original paperback my mother bought for me, plus the hardcover versions of Thunderhead and Green Green Grass of Wyoming.
In my senior year of high school, I took an English course in Fantasy and Science Fiction. During this course I fell head-over-heels in love with the novel Dragon Riders of Pern, by Anne McCaffrey. I also developed a love for Science Fiction novels, such as Isaac Asimov's Foundation trilogy. But, it was Fantasy that won my heart.
These reading experiences shaped my love for reading a good novel. But the shock and awe came when I realized I had the potential to write a good story that people enjoyed reading. I worked hard to improve on that fledgling talent and now hope to write a novel worthy of being published.

Musings of a Hopeful Writer
This is my blog were I'll write about anything related to writing. My struggles in my life that may make it hard for me to write. And the journey I'll be taking as I write my next novel.
Elendore - A New World
This is the working title for the novel I'm planning on writing. On this page I'll be sharing the backstory of my main character, Delana Wheaten with anyone who stops by and decides to get to know her.
Poems
I'm not much of a poet. But if I write one and decide I like it and its worthy of being shared, I'll put it on this page.
Other Stories
I have a few other stories that I wrote that for one reason or another I feel will never be published in a conventional way, but I'd still like to share them so I'll put them up on this blog.
